Welcome to Reflective Wisdom!

Hello fellow educator,
Welcome to Reflective Wisdom. We help educators of color in discovering truths their growth their worth.
You’ve precisely arrived here because you’ve been searching for a way you can stay committed to your purpose and fully contribute to the success of the students you serve.
You’re looking for a better way to stay engaged and connected to your fellow colleagues so that you can support each other in balancing the dynamic experiences teaching brings and as a result you lower stress and decrease feeling overwhelmed.
You realize that while you're creating a vibrant learning environment for your students where they could enhance their social-emotional skills, there really isn't anything in place for you and your fellow teachers to manage and develop your own social-emotional competencies. There are plenty of programs and frameworks out there dedicated to helping students learn and grow social-emotional skills, but what about for you? How can you and you fellow colleagues replenish your own social-emotional reserves so that you can be at your natural best?
One answer in the Points of You® approach. This approach and it’s tools  gave me the inspiration to share it with other educators. In 2016, I became the first Certified Points of You® Trainer in Pennsylvania teaching other teachers and administrators the power of this approach which improves five key social-emotional competencies.
  • Self awareness
  • Self management
  • Social awareness
  • Relationship skills
  • Responsible decision-making
So how does this work?  Here’s how. Every Points of You® encounter follows this four step process.

  • Focus

Here's what other educators and professionals have said after experiencing the Points of You® approach.

In their own words …

I’d like to strongly recommend any Points of You® workshop with Tony. They are very straight forward, dynamic, concise and Tony managed it with a steady hand and a patient heart.

I think it’s very versatile, so you can apply it in different contexts and fields, both personally and professionally.

I know the impact Points of You® had on me when I experienced it the first time.

Watching the responses of my staff as they went through the process was uplifting for me! What was amazing to see unfold was how the new staff and veteran staff were all learning and connecting together.

I can’t wait until you come back for our October training!

Kristin Troop Director, Wee Care Day School

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you for holding space for me this week. You are such a gift!

As a result of some of the soul-searching that I’ve done in the past few days, I was inspired to rewrite my cover letter to be more deeply aligned to my passion and personal commitment to diversity and equity work.

I am sharing it because, well, now you’re in my corner and because it’s a testament to the transformative power of the work that you’re doing.
